Bye Bye to Body Hair

      Bye Bye to Body Hair

Body hair can be a daunting thing to talk about, but there is always a solution to any problem. It’s one thing to talk about that pesky bikini line or sorting out the legs, but it’s less common for women to talk about the other areas of the body that can have hair. Whilst it may be embarrassing, areas of the stomach, back, hands, and arms can also have hair, and although you might find it slightly awkward to talk about, there’s a solution for everything.

Most areas you can use wax, depilatory creams, tweezer, or even shave, but it’s essentially about what’s best for you.

      Back hair

As one of the quickest ways to remove hair, it can be tempting to turn to shaving when it comes to removing unwanted hair. But with one of the quickest rates of regrowth this isn’t always the best option1. By cutting hair at the surface of the skin it can starts to grow back in as little as two days, and would have to be done regularly in order to maintain it. This can be inconvenient, especially in areas that are more difficult to reach (particularly when most people can barely reach that highly annoying itch).

Waxing, which removes hair at the root, is a longer-term method of hair removal that can leave you hair-free for weeks at a time. Most salons and spas that offer waxing have back-waxing on their price lists. However, you can also achieve the same desired effect at home, but you may want to enlist the help of your trusted partner or friend.

      Hands and fingers

Tweezing, although a very precise method of hair removal, can be quite time consuming. You could try Veet Face Precision Wax and Care which usually used to tackle small precise areas of the face, but could be ideal for unwanted hair in other small areas, such as the back of the fingers. However, if you’re only tackling a few nagging hairs then tweezing might be an effective method for you.

Arm hair is quite similar to hair on your legs, although usually softer. Depilatory creams are easy to use in these kinds of areas as you can smooth the cream on and see all the areas clearly. The cream dissolves the hair just below the surface of the skin, and can work in as little as three minutes2, and can be washed off in the shower. Therefore, if you are not too pain-sensitive, you may wish to look at waxing. With this method, hairs tend to grow back more sparsely and finely, as we explain below.

Stomach hair (Not as uncommon as you think)

It’s not uncommon for women to have hair on their stomach. There are just certain areas we just don’t talk about openly. Hot wax is a great way to remove this kind of hair and leaving you confident and hair-free for weeks at a time. Hair also regrows finer overtime making the experience less uncomfortable the more you do it3.

Choosing to remove hair from your body is completely up to you. Waxing can be quick and give you up to four weeks of smooth skin, but Veet offer many other solutions for hair removal. As you can see, if you do decide to go down the hair-removal route, there are plenty of products available for your needs. It is important to take time and decide what’s best for you.
