How does waxing work?
Wax adheres to the hair shaft (and not the skin), which is then removed from the root by the mechanical action of removing the wax using the fabric strip from the skin. Hair regrowth is soft to the touch and you will not need to depilate again for up to 4 weeks.

The Strips, when smoothed onto skin, adhere to the hair shaft (and not the skin). The hair shaft is then removed from the root by the mechanical action of removing the strip from the skin.
How do I get the best results?
Always follow the Directions for Use and Precautions. See Helpful Hints and Beautician Tips on the leaflet. Skin should be clean and dry. Always remove in the opposite direction to the hair growth in one swift movement. Hold the skin taut with one hand and make sure you keep the strip parallel to the skin.
I tried waxing once and had trouble getting the wax off! Is there an easy way to remove wax from the skin if it doesn't come off when you remove the strip or cloth?
Veet® wax strips are resin based and not water rinsable. Remove residue of wax using a Perfect Finish wipe from the box. Alternatively, use cotton wool soaked in baby oil or body oil.
What’s different about the new Veet gel wax?
The new Veet gel wax is a patented, glucose based warm wax in a gel format. It's the first Veet warm wax gel in a jar, delightful to use and easy to get up to 4 weeks of smoothness.
Does it work in a different way to other warm waxes?
A combination of ingredients provide its gel-like properties and help its spreadability on the skin enabling good adhesion to the hair so that a thin layer is effective. The gel-like nature of the product means that it can be used at low temperature.
Is it easier to use ?
Because it works at a lower temperature, it is quick to prepare as it only requires a short heating time in the microwave. And the formula is easily rinsed with water.
What about safety?
The thermochromic indicator on the specially designed spatula informs you when the product is too hot to use. If the indicator shows it’s too hot, simply allow the product to cool, stir it well and retest with the indicator.
